Enjoy yourself and get to know this beautiful island all in one day!

Day 3 – 3 islands cruise (Optional Daily Excursion 10:00-17:30)

The 3 islands Cruise is by far the most preferred choice, offering you an all-round experience as we venture off the coast of Kalymnos and you can see the stunning coast line.

We visit Vathy, the attraction is the little harbour of Rina. From the sea, we access by a slender twisting inlet that’s more like a fjord than anything you’d expect to find on a Greek island. Whilst in Rina you can relax in the quayside tavernas, find the pond full of giant fish, or swim in the beautiful clear water.
We next make a stop at Plati, a small island in between Pserimos and Kalymnos. Where you’ll find a small church called Saint Nikolaos. From the small beach or our boat you can take a swim or snorkel in the crystal blue sea.
We also sail to the island of Pserimos. In Pserimos you’ll find a spectacular beach, which has beautiful fine white sand and a great atmosphere with small beach cafes. This beach is perfect for all the family.
If you are really lucky you might catch a chance to see some of the many dolphins which swim around Kalymnos.

Day 5 - Astypalea island

Hop on the wings of the Aegean Butterfly and give your soul a boost!!!!

A cluster of brilliant white-washed buildings clamber up the hillside to reach a Venetian castle; a scene straight out of a Medieval folktale. This is just a part of the magic of Astypalea, that has been dubbed “the butterfly of the Aegean”, partly because of its peculiar shape and partly because of the beauty of the landscape.
The moment your feet touch the shore of Astypalea, you can feel an energy welling up from deep within its fertile earth; reverberating through its rich, storied history; sweeping down from the rocky peaks, swirling in off the electric blue waters surrounding the island. Your lungs fill with the fresh sea breeze, your eyes sparkle with its incandescent light and soon you're bursting with energy yourself.
You can't wait to scale its mountains, hike its rugged coastline, uncover the secrets of its hidden coves and ancient ruins, make a day last forever on its fun-packed beaches and waves, swoon at the giant summer moon above the Venetian fortress or wander hand-in-hand along flower-strewn whitewashed alleys. You'll find the locals have the very same energy surging through them, as they warmly invite you to their festivals to join in a merry jig and sample their wine and delicious home-cooked delicacies. Indeed, every inch of Astypalea invites you to tap into its special aura and unite your energy with its own invigorating spring.

Do it all with gusto on Astypalea.

Day 6 – Astypalea : Where to go part 1

Astypalea or Hora

The island’s capital is built on a hill jutting out into the sea to form two distinct bays; namely Livadi and Pera Gialos, where the main port is situated. The white domes of the churches of Evangelistria and Agios Georgios stand out against the dark, local stone of the hilltop castle in which they are enclosed.
Clustered on the hill around the castle are whitewashed houses with blue doors and windows, and wooden railings on their balconies. In the main square of the Hora, overlooking the mills, you will find restaurants with fine food as well as picturesque coffee shops and bars for an evening drink.

Livadi

Following the course of a fertile gorge, then spreading wider where it meets the bay of the same name, the village of Livadi is the flower garden of the island; tangerine orchards, orange groves, vineyards and houses garlanded by flowers, all tumbling colourfully down to its beautiful beach. Throughout the day, you can enjoy a meal at the beach cafes and restaurants overlooking the sea and Hora.

Day 7 – Astypalea: Where to go part 2

Pera Gialos

Pera Gialos is the first port of the island and typifies authentic Astypalean hospitality.
It has lovely views, restaurants where you can enjoy the local cuisine, small traditional cafes and bakeries and a lovely beach, ideal for relaxation and the occasional dive into crystalline waters.
If you want to explore the rest of the coastline, Pera Gialos is also a great starting point, as here you will find tour boats that can take you to exquisite beaches of Astypalea and islands like Koutsomitis and Kounoupa.

Analipsi or Maltezana

A quiet coastal village nestled in a small valley in Mesa Nisi, ideal for relaxing on the fine sand. Its alternative name, Maltezana, dates back to the days of the pirates, who would roam the Aegean and take refuge in the island’s enclosed bays. The holiday village embraces a bay with a long pier, where fishing boats dock, and stretches back inland to delightful orchards and vineyards.
Maltezana has many restaurants where you can enjoy fresh fish.

Day 8 – Astypalea: Where to go part 3

Vathy
A very narrow bay of about 50 meters, which looks more like a lagoon, Vathy has two small settlements: Exo Vathy, located at the entrance of the bay, with a number of small steps down to where fishing boats dock, and the more pastoral Mesa Vathy, at the end of the bay, with quiet fields, shady orchards and vineyards. You can reach Vathy via a passable dirt road.
It lies about 12km from Maltezana.

Day 9 – Alternative excursions

1. Climbing and Mountaineering
If you like adventure at slightly higher altitudes, Asypalea’s “Kokkinos Gremos” and “Agios Giannis” climbing areas await.

2. Mountain Biking
Excellent trails to experience the natural sights, sounds and scents of the island; for everyone from beginners to advanced riders.

3. Hiking
Hiking is the ideal way to explore the heart of this fascinating island. Hike along the marked and signposted paths or the mountain slopes. On Astypalea, each path you walk comes with its own story from ancient mythology or recorded history. Only by hiking can you really appreciate the special charm and variety of different colours inherent in each season.
