After we scale the mountains to the traditional village of Zia, which looks over the island, providing panoramic views. Here you can visit the quaint, traditional craft shops and the Natural Park with its birds, goats and other different animals of Kos, or maybe stop for a coffee break in one of the many cafes, while taking in the unbeatable view. Continuing through the mountains, we visit Pyli with its fresh mountain spring.
Next we head to Kefalos where we stop at Kamari Bay. Here you will have time to enjoy the crystal clear waters at one of the best beaches on the island or have a meal at the beach tavern.
Last but not least we visit Antimahia, in the middle of the island, with the oldest active windmill of Kos and a traditional greek house.
Enjoy yourself and get to know this beautiful island all in one day !
Take the chance to visit one of the most beautiful island of the Aegean.
Nissyros, one of the smallest islands of the Dodecanese, still untouched from today’s modernism, is rich in unparalleled natural beauties and cultural heritage. It leads its life between the white painted narrow streets of its capital Mandraki and the semi-wild nature of the Volcanic Valley.
Have your breath taken away as our guide accompanies you in the coach, driving up 2000 feet to the highest point of the mountain for a visit to the volcano, one of the few dormant volcano’s in the world. Experience the incredible panoramic view before starting the descent to the crater, where you will feel the volcano alive, bubbling under foot and see the sculpture springs hissing. The visit of the island is not complete without a homage to the old Byzantine Castle, which hosts the Monastery of Virgin Mary, carved into the rock. Myth has it that the monastery was established by regretted pirates who became its first monks.
As a special highlight we will as well visit the traditional and picturesque mountain village Nikia during our stay in the island.

The port of Lakki is one of the most secure natural ports of the Mediterranean Sea. Leaving the town we follow the road along the seaside towards Merikia and the location to visit is a very interesting and unique museum: the War Tunnel Museum. It is situated in an authentic underground bomb shelter. The exhibition takes you back to World War II. A Video clip shows very realistic these dark days of history.

A church, under the protection of UNESCO, famous for its very special wall icons. These paintings were made by some of the political prisoners of a nearby concentration camp during the Greek Dictator Ship (1970).
From the island Leros you can explore the other islands around it by boat. You can participate in organized trips to visit each island with the boat Barbarossa.
Every morning at 11.00am we leave the harbor of Aghia Marina on Leros. We pass by the island North of Leros. After about one hour we arrive at the white islands. After a jump in the crystal clear waters of these islands and a lot of pictures we go on board, for a meze and ouzo! Slowly we heading for the next stop for another swim (Macronisi or Tiganakia both deserted islands).
The last stop is the longest and have time enough to explore the islands, swim or/and have dinner in one of the restaurants. All these places have a small amount of citizens (especially Arkii and Marathi). Have excellent restaurants with their own traditional dishes and beautiful sandy beaches. All islands are worth a visit!
Slowly the daytrip comes to an end after seeing so many islands. While going back to Leros, we serve a juicy watermelon and hope to see some dolphins! At 19.00pm we anchor the boat in Aghia Marina again.
